If you have ever watched friends get married while you are still waiting, you may have quietly asked God, "Will my turn ever come?" It is a deeply personal question that many women carry in their hearts. Psalm 37:4 to 5 encourages you to delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart as you commit your way to Him and trust in Him. Your waiting season is not evidence that God has forgotten you. It is often a season where He is preparing your heart, strengthening your faith, and aligning your life with His perfect will. Ask yourself, Is my greatest desire to be married, or to become the woman God has created me to be?
Marriage is a beautiful gift, but it should never become your identity or your source of worth. Proverbs 18:22 says, "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord." This reminds you that a godly marriage is part of God's favor, not something to be forced through anxiety, compromise, or desperation. The right relationship will honor God, protect your purpose, and bring peace rather than confusion. You never have to lower your standards to fit into someone else's expectations.
While you wait, continue growing spiritually, emotionally, and purposefully. Invest in your relationship with Jesus, develop your gifts, serve faithfully, and become the woman whose character reflects Christ. Waiting is never wasted when it is surrendered to God. Ask yourself, Am I preparing for the kind of marriage I am praying for, or am I only hoping someone will complete what only God can fulfill?
Whether your marriage comes sooner or later, your life already has great value because your identity is found in Christ. Trust God's timing even when you cannot understand it. He knows your future better than you do, and He is able to write a love story that brings Him glory and brings you lasting joy. Keep your heart open to His leading, remain faithful in every season, and remember that the greatest relationship you will ever have is with Jesus Christ, who will never leave nor forsake you.
Hope Expression Values You.
