As a Lady of Godly Value, How Do I Know God's Purpose for My Life Beyond Marriage?

Have you ever wondered if your life has a purpose beyond becoming someone's wife? Have you allowed the desire for marriage to become greater than your desire to know God's will for your life? Many godly ladies spend years praying for a husband while giving little attention to the unique assignment God has already placed within them. According to Ephesians 2:10, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Before God writes your love story, He invites you to walk in the good works He has prepared for you. Your value is not determined by your relationship status but by your identity in Christ and your obedience to His calling.

Jeremiah 1:5 reveals the heart of God when He says, "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee." This means your purpose did not begin when you started praying about marriage. God knew you, called you and prepared an assignment for your life long before anyone knew your name. Ask yourself, "What burdens has God placed on my heart? What gifts has He entrusted to me? Whose lives am I called to influence?" Purpose is often discovered where your God given gifts meet the needs of people around you.

A woman who understands her purpose is not desperate for validation because she knows she has already been accepted by Christ. She pursues intimacy with God, develops her character, grows in wisdom, serves faithfully, and intentionally prepares herself for every assignment God gives her. Marriage is a beautiful covenant, but it is not the whole story of your life. God may use you to mentor, lead, teach, build businesses, raise disciples, care for the vulnerable or advance His Kingdom in countless ways. Do not reduce your destiny to a wedding day when God has prepared a lifetime of impact.

Purpose is discovered through fellowship with the Holy Spirit, obedience to God's Word and faithful service. As you spend time in prayer, study the Scriptures and serve where God has planted you, He will make His direction clearer. Instead of constantly asking, "When will I get married?" begin asking, "Lord, how can I glorify You today? Who have You called me to serve? What gifts do You want me to develop for Your Kingdom?" God faithfully reveals His will to those who are willing to walk with Him one step at a time.

As a lady of godly value, never believe that your life is on hold until you become a wife. Your purpose is already unfolding as you walk with Jesus Christ. Embrace the woman God is shaping you to become, steward every gift He has given you and trust His timing for every season of your life. Whether single or married, your highest calling is to know Christ, make Him known and fulfill the good works He prepared for you before the foundation of the world. Live with confidence, knowing that the God who formed you has also equipped you to fulfill His divine purpose.

Hope Expression Values You.

Negative Effect of Testing a Man or Playing with his Intelligence or Heart during Dating

Testing a man or playing with his intelligence or heart during dating can have serious consequences that may carry over into a future marriage, leading to a host of negative outcomes. When you engage in such behavior, it can create a foundation of distrust, emotional pain, and misunderstanding that can be difficult to overcome. Imagine you’re in a relationship where you’re constantly testing your partner's intentions, questioning his sincerity, and trying to gauge how much he truly cares for you. While this might seem like a way to protect yourself or to ensure that his feelings are genuine, it can actually undermine the very relationship you’re trying to build. Proverbs 14:1 says, "The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down." By testing a man’s heart, you might unintentionally be tearing down the trust and connection that are essential for a healthy relationship. When you test a man's intelligence or play with his emotions...
